How each palette is documented

Every colorway pairs its HEX value with the repeat dimensions it was tested at. Use these references to match stripe colors across tools and keep check tiles consistent.

Traditional dye shades

Muted reds, indigos, and greens drawn from historical woolen traditions, listed with HEX values for quick matching.

Seasonal palettes

Spring, summer, autumn, and winter sets that group colors by mood and by how they sit against each other in a check.

High-contrast duotones

Two-color pairings built for stripe intersections, with repeat dimensions in cm and in noted beside each swatch.

Colorway pairing

Dual-color and multi-stripe checks

Pair two colors for a clean gingham or check, or layer three to six stripes for a plaid. Each palette shows how the colors read at the tested repeat size.

Open any pairing in the generator to adjust stripe width and spacing while keeping the HEX references fixed.
